The Troy Public Library, Troy, NY

 

The Troy Public Library is an architectural jewel and what every library should be. Explore the glass floors in the stacks and the exquisite Tiffany windows. Designed by the New York City architectural firm of Barney and Chapman and completed in 1897, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was described in 1972, as "one of the finest examples of Italian Renaissance style in this country".
